Job Description

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a bussness services partner located in the St Paul Area needing to add to their payroll team!

  • Pay: $60,000-$80,000/yr
  • Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees in accordance with established schedules.

  • Review and verify timecards, timesheets, and attendance records for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Enter, update, and reconcile payroll data including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, deductions, and garnishments.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.

  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to HR and Finance as needed.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, deductions, and payroll policies.

  • Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate employee records and benefits deductions.

  • Assist with year-end processes including W-2 preparation and audits.

  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.

  • Support process improvements and payroll system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).

  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, Workday, or similar).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general data analysis.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
